Local photographer R.E. Lindsey has been taking pictures for most of his life. Lindsey’s first published images were for the Oklahoma Tourism Department. Since then, his work has appeared in coffee table books, textbooks, travel guides, scenic calendars, postcards, and in gourmet food magazines.

His latest project, Tulsa Impressions, was published last month by Farcountry Press. The book showcases the city’s wide range of architectural design, from art deco to Greek Revival to contemporary, as well as its diverse cultural history. From Route 66 to museums to the famous Tulsa Ballet, the book highlights Tulsa’s unique heritage through stunning color photography.

Each photo caption includes an interesting fact about the city written by writer, Debra Laizure. The softcover book is available at Amazon.com and Ida Red on Brookside.
